Liability was a big issue in this cyclist case. This young student cyclist was riding his bicycle late at night along a sidewalk with no lights and no helmet. He entered a crosswalk directly into the path of a vehicle. He suffered a displaced fracture in his wrist that required surgical intervention. As a result of his injury he was unable to work at his part time server job for 6 months. He was very pleased when we resolved his claim for $58,000.00
This plaintiff was asleep in a tent when a pickup truck drove onto the tent pinning her arm under the front tire. She suffered a crush injury to her arm and was left with neuropathic pain and psychological injuries. A settlement in the amount of $487,500 was paid to resolve the claim.
Road Rage Settlement
An angry driver pursued our client for miles. When our client pulled over and exited his vehicle to address the situation he was run over by the irate driver. As a result he suffered injuries to his shoulder that persisted. We negotiated a settlement in the amount of $268,220.
Rear End Collision Settlement
This client was rear ended and suffered soft tissue injuries and severe depression. The depression was not diagnosed until several months after the accident. As a result he lost 2 years of employment. ICBC took issue with the cause of the depression but we were able to settle the claim to the client’s satisfaction for the amount of $300,000.
Slip & Fall on Stairs Settlement
The plaintiff fell down an outdoor staircase in which there was a missing plank resulting in a fractured arm and psychological injuries. As a result of his injuries he was unable to return to his previous job. His psychological issues were pre-existing and were at issue. We resolved his claim for $225,000.
Dog Attack Settlement
In this case the Plaintiff was on a sports field when without warning she was knocked to the ground from behind by an off leash Great Dane that had a propensity for jumping up on people. The Plaintiff sustained a ligament tear to her knee as well as anxiety issues that were addressed by a psychologist. She was able to return to her job after 6 months. We resolved her claim for $82,500.
