Our Team

John Mickelson has been practicing law since 1982. He practiced in California from 1982 to 1983. In 1984 John went into private practice.

John primarily focuses on personal injury claims including motor vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents. He has handled numerous brain and severe spinal cord injury claims and recovered millions of dollars in compensation on behalf of his clients.

John is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association, the California Bar Association and the BC Bar Association. He is also a member of the Association of Surfing Lawyers and has surfed all over the world including Peru, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Morocco, Indonesia and Samoa; to name a few.

John is married with one teenage daughter. John also is a sports enthusiast. He is an avid cyclist who commutes daily to work by bike. He also loves to snowboard, ski and surf.

Charlene Andrew has extensive experience working in motor vehicle accident and personal injury claims. Prior to joining John Mickelson Law Corporation, she worked for other major personal injury law firms in Vancouver.

She graduated from Capilano University with a Diploma in Paralegal Studies in 2004 and is currently working towards her degree. She is an active member of Amici Curiae, a volunteer Paralegal group that works with Access Pro Bono providing legal assistance to low income individuals. She is a member of the Canadian Paralegal Institute.

Charlene has four daughters and four granddaughters that she enjoys spending time with. She has a creative nature with interests in photography, gardening, crafting. She enjoys active leisure activities such as golfing, hiking and cycling.

April is a Certified General Accountant with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in accounting for Law Practices.

April has been with our team for three years.

She is an avid reader and world traveler.
